Would love to hear your pizza party stories.
Now that summer is over, and Fall is officially here I am reminded of a party tradition we started a couple of years ago. Having a group of friends over for a “pizza party”. We set up a couple of 6 foot tables in our backyard to accommodate 15-20 guests, provide the pizza dough from a local pizzeria, flour, various vegetables chopped, meats, and cheeses. Local pizza restaurants usually sell pizza sauce, all to need are some fresh herbs chopped into it and voila, you have your own personalized sensational pizza sauce! For the table décor I usually use a red and green plastic table cloths on the bottom and then red checkered cloth tablecloths on top. In my party pantry I have saved empty chianti bottles, olive oil tins, unique vases and small terracotta pots into which I add fresh herbs for a traditional feel. The chianti bottles make great candle holders, and the vases make wonderful containers to put Italian breadsticks in! You can get as creative as you want. We use the our granite island countertop to allow the guests to roll out and create their individual pizzas. Guest usually bring wine, salads and small bites! It is amazing to see how much fun making pizza with friends and sharing stories is! Enjoy and share!
